Maybe OUTLAW.
A prize for the the biggest picker and one for the best double slit.
OK, send me to Hell. I deserve it.....;-)
the same brain that gets you into one false belief will surely get you into another.. take a look at your own life right now.
most of what is going on (good or bad) is because of how you think and act.. you choose.
you pick this and not that.. .

Picker /pecker
I was a born in too. But I stayed in well past the time of Reason.
Terry's heading reminds me of a new/old friend's words.
He said 'your picker is off' . [Of course, I heard pecker. :-). I was lamenting my stupid fumble into an obviously bad relationship.
I have to agree; I need to work on my picker. No religion. No relationships. [dont hold me to the last one]
memorial is here, and it is the perfect time for me to make my big announcement.
i want this community to be the first to know.. i have finished writing my novel!
angels and women is the story of judge rutherford and the early history of the watchtower.
Congratulations on completing your book Michael.
after reading the threads on watchtower encouraging 10 year olds to take the baptismal plunge, i wonder if they have an actual legal right to terminate their agreements without any penalty enforced by the organization.. i think those of us who were "too young" to enter into any contract could be absolved of any agreements, even religious vows, because we were still obviously too young to understand all the "fine print" before signing.. what do you think??
?.
This has been on my mind too.
I was wondering if it can make a difference if you were baptized before the baptism questions were changed.
You were not pledgeing yourself to an Organzation then.
Any thoughts?
my disfellowshipped hubby dosnt come on here but has been amused by some of the funny threads !
he wants to know why smurfs and avatar are big no nos in dub land ?.
I was traveling by car through Germany with some local Witness friends. While we were passing a Smurf amusmant park,
I asked if they wanted to stop, as a joke .
They rolled their eyes, and replied 'thats for babies'. They didnt get the joke obviously. LOL
They had never heard any of the silly stories about the Smurfs being demo.
so i attended a funeral for a jw who passed away (non-"annointed) and i would have to state that although i have heard the standard funeral talk outline for dozens of funerals i've attended, i never really took the time to listen.
and my god, i was cringing.
the outline is essentially broken down like this:.
This is the norm isnt it?
I attendend one a few years back and it was not the standard. Given by a Bethelite too.
He talked mostly about the Deceased, his love of life , made jokes even. Packed house too.
Maybe JWs have more control over this then they realize.
Or maybe you just need to fly a Bethelite out.
ever so sweetly flow his timeless declarations, .
like the cascading brook, its waters to the sea,.
the robust but mellow verse of our bard of avon.
I wonder what you think?
Being in 'love' makes your mind expand.
so my jw mother-in-law is having some rather major abdominal surgery today.
given the type of surgery, there is a chance that the blood issue may come up, where in worst case if there's a loss of blood she may need a transfusion.. so in the waiting room for the entire 3 1/2 hour surgery are two elders.
these guys don't know my mil that well, and they are not there to support her... when it comes down to it:.
They will come when not invited, and in suits.
I have a friend who needed emergency surgery while out of town. He has recently found that it is not the 'truth', but still feels blood is not for him.
He put down that he was a JW, so as not to have have to explaine everything.
Next day ,two elders arrived in his room. One proceeded to chat , while the other looked at his chart. All infront of his wife.
They came the next day too. But my friend had some interesting questions for them regarding the religion.
They didnt come back after that.
They did say they are apart of the Liaison Committee and that it is the soul job to moniter who comes in the Hospitol and claims to be A JW. It's thier special territory sort of.
Robert , I hope your Mother in Law is doing well.
jk666- the really sketchy years-part 4. a lot of what i am going to say here, is piecing together fragmented pieces of my memory.
i really was a good kid that fell into bad circumstances.. i was the fair haired boy in my congregation.
i was a true believer, even after that awful incident.
Wow! Conducting a bookstudy at the age of 13. That is so young. You were the Golden Boy.
As far as your mentor , I too had that happen and understand the feeling of fragmented memories. I think it's a coping mechinism. It's so mind bending when a trusted adult crosses this line.
Your Father also crossed this line.
Looking forward to more of your story JRK.
[and more of Farkels too.]
just ask me in pm's the details!
the fat arse can't take the heat, or any measure of exercise.
i wish amama2six still owned that board.
But what do toaster waffles have to do with it?
